I decided to get into dentistry because I knew I wanted to do something in the healthcare field. But when I went to shadow a dentist, I found that it’s more than just dentistry. It’s also art and a mixture of art and science together, and I love that. So, you’re helping people while doing artistic things at the same time. The most rewarding part about being a dentist is helping people, just knowing that you’re helping them and their overall health, and for patients who need it, creating a nice smile so they feel good about themselves. I would say our biggest positive trait here is that we feel like a family here. Patients feel comfortable when they come. And our number one value is that patients, we try to do the best that we can for each patient. That’s all we want.
I went to dental school at Iowa, and then after I got done with my dental program, I did an extra year in geriatric and special care. And that taught me a lot about care for geriatric patients, people with special needs. And that’s been a big part of our practice, and that’s really helped a lot. I think that it helps because you see that each patient has individual needs. You treat each patient differently. A patient might be missing a tooth, but there might be different scenarios or different treatments for each person. So, any patient that it’s been a long time or they haven’t been to the dentist, I would say our strength, and my strength, in particular, is just to make you feel comfortable that you’ve been here. It’s a judgment-free zone where we can come in, take a look, and just get you back on track getting your routine care.

The staff at Oelwein Dental Associates are absolutely amazing!!! I have had several invasive procedures done by Adam Kruger and every experience has been top notch. He followed up for several days after to check up on how I was doing. He is always kind, caring, professional and respectful. The ladies at the front desk are always there to answer a question and they greet you with a smile. The assistants are patient, kind, and compassionate. Especially to my three children. Going to the dentist is not a “scarey” thing anymore thanks to the staff at Oelwein Dental Associates. I would highly recommend their services for all your dental needs!!
My family loves Oelwein Family Dental associates. They have such friendly staff, and a warm atmosphere. I love all the little touches like massaging dental chairs, a fun room for kids, free water or Keurig coffee. Also, we never wait more than 5 minutes.
Great with kids and flexible with schedules. Guaranteed to give you a beautiful smile and make you laugh
Does anyone ever want to go to the dentist? I do! I do! There are not enough words for me to express just how great Oelwein Dental Associates practice is. I have no fear or anxiety when I know it’s my appointment day. Massaging dental chairs had got to be one of the greatest. inventions. ever. Every person on the staff at Oelwein are awesome. I know if I have questions, they will be answered. A few days after I had a tooth removed and a bone graft done, Dr. Adam called to check up on me! Who does that anymore? Oelwein Dental Associates does! 🙂
